Embodiment Ceramics
Exploring how to connect, feeling free and sensual with our bodies, through what societal constructs and personal trauma we may have experienced.
I create ceramic art based in the love of and celebration of my body, our bodies. Collaborating with earth body is a sensual process that draws me closer to feelings of belonging and pleasure. As I learn to let go to the earth I am. Sculpting vulvas, forming body parts and their processes, is a celebration. Is a process that helps me feel embodied and empowered knowing I am releasing shame by asking to be seen by the parts of me past traumas and societal pressures have attempted to silence. This is a way I let my body be a voice. This is a way I extend the form of my body, clay as reflection, to create new forms and vessels that can further a cycle of nurturing.
